The Wilson’s

Gary and Gwen are a Sandy Cove based acoustic duo. They’ve played locally, over the last ten years, as a duo, and occasionally provide backup for other musicians. Long time Sandy Cove seasonal residents,and before retiring here in 2009, they played once in while at Bearlys, in Halifax, both as a duo and with others. Local gigs include Bear River at the Rebekah, Myrtle and Rosie’s, the Sissiboo cafe there and in Annapolis, a few places on the French shore, the Freeport Legion, and this summer at Breaking Waves. They’ve also played four years at the Coalshed Festival in Yarmouth. They play a wide variety of eclectic folk/country music, accompanying their vocals on guitar, accordion and sometimes stand up bass.
